                                                             James “Jim” Alfred Jarrell II
                                                           March 14, 1952 – October 6, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James “Jim” Alfred Jarrell II of Myrtle Beach, SC.  Born March 14, 1952, Jim passed away peacefully in his home on October 6, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jim was well known by his booming voice, unshakeable faith, and willingness to fix anything, including us.  To know him was to love him, and he will be deeply missed by many, as he never met a stranger.  Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Alfred Jarrell and Dorothy Mabel Bruce Jarrell; his infant daughter, Rachael Michelle Jarrell; son, Joshua Amend; and brother, Bryan Keith Jarrell.

Left to cherish his memory, Jim is survived by his loving wife Joanne Jarrell, sons James A. Jarrell III (Ismael), Daniel Amend (Jamie), David Amend (Lisa); daughters, Ana Marie Wilkinson (Andrew), and Lindsey Nicole Roberts (Steven); brother, Larry and wife B-Mae Jarrell; sister, Lori Thomas and husband, Cyr and sister in law, Kay Jarrell.  Papa loved mentoring and being a wonderful role model to his 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sophia, Kylee, Sage, Chase, and Zachary.

Also beloved to Jim were his daughters-in-love Elaina, Gabrielle, and Clare.
The family will be holding a private gathering at a later date.
